You preach detachment
How is that different from
Dissociation
Pretending that what’s happening
Isn’t
Collapsing internally
From a sense of powerlessness
Rather than accessing
And acting on
Power
Of Truth Light Soul
Remedying the situation
Effecting change
Your dogma
Masquerades as
Universal Truth
Making it all the more insidious
And yet
And yet
Having spoken Truth
And effected change
And risked it all in the process
I see the limitations
Of other people’s willingness and abilities
Of the system that moves ever-so slowly
And I am aware of the drain
On my energy time focus resources
So I make different choices now
Avoiding instead of confronting
Because the Pandora’s Box
Is ever-present
Trap doors everywhere
Flinging open
Taking more
Taking more
I find that I end up
Impacted by other people’s damage
Regardless of how I choose to respond
Either stepping where I don’t want
Or not stepping where I want
And the oly solution I see
Is self-isolation
But I don’t want that either
