I am the eagle to your mouse
I fly where you hide
I am the river to your boulder
I flow where you are stuck
I love fiercely
And I have witnessed your suffering
And seen in advance
The dangers you are facing
So I have spent my life
Showing you how to leap off the cliff
And teaching you how to move matter
Yet you remain afraid
And immobile
Because you are the mouse
And I am the Eagle
Because you are the boulder
And I am the river
It seems I may have ingested
Your entrenchment
Taken responsibility
For your lack thereof
Extending myself
Far beyond my capacity
Again and again
To save you
And perhaps in the process
These boulders
Have become nodules
Inside of me
And ironically
I have to honor my own limits
Within my limitless ocean of possibility
And I need not only
To unleash and redirect
But also to contain
The fierce love of this river
Internally
To save myself
